Old Girls Gone Rogue: Age Against the Machine
Reviewed by Mina Saeed
The vibe of Old Girls Gone Rogue: Age Against the Machine is chaotic.
This show sets the scene with two older women sitting at a table drinking coffee, as one friend tells the other that she has given part of her consciousness over to AI. As chaos ensues, the story is told through hilarious banter between the women, even landing them on Mars. A laugh-out-loud comedy, Old Girls Gone Rogue showcases the silliness of friendship, whilst also provoking discussion around the dangers of AI and the extremes people will use it for in the future.
As the title also states, the chaotic journey these unlikely friends experience is intermingled with the harsh reality of an AI-filled world. Told through humour, the show makes a point about where the future of technology is headed, and how it will affect everyone, no matter your age.
Old Girls Gone Rogue: Age Against the Machine is an entertaining show for not just older audiences, but younger ones as well, as everyone can relate to technology and friendship, and have a laugh along the way.
