A Very Queer Easter Pageant

The Vibe of ‘A Very Queer Easter Pageant’ is vigorous.

This play told the story of Jesus Christ, his crucifixion and his resurrection, by lip syncing to the rock songs of Billy Talent III.

As the popular story unfolded, I found myself waiting on the edge of my seat for the next lip-syncing performance that always worked to drive the plot forward. The use of lip syncing for both word and song was extremely entertaining and provided the characters with a more fictional and ethereal resemblance.

Dialogue was far and in between, but was always underscored with instrumental music that heightened the drama of Jesus Christ’s actions and his Last Supper.

A Very Queer Easter Pageant brought a spin to an old tale, while energizing the audience with the melodic notes of Billy Talent’s rock music.

If you enjoy this genre, come watch the play that reveals the religious undertones of ‘The Devil’s music’.
