Five Talks. One Thoughtful Winter.
This winter, Hamilton Third Age Learning (HTAL) invites you to step out of the cold and into conversation with its Winter Lecture Series, running January 28 to February 25 at The Westdale Theatre.
Each week features a different speaker and topic, from Indigenous stories and lessons from birds, to Hamilton’s steel legacy and the science behind first impressions. Every session includes a 50-minute lecture followed by a live Q&A, making it easy to listen, learn, and ask great questions.
A smart, social way to spend your winter mornings. Make it a weekly ritual and leave a little warmer, a little wiser, and glad you went.
Registration is now open. Click here to secure your tickets. Recordings of each lecture are available for 2 weeks post-event if you are unable to attend.*

While we are a digital company, we work and live in the city of Hamilton, acknowledging that it stands on the traditional territories of the Erie, Neutral, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee, and Mississaugas peoples. This land is part of the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant — an agreement between the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabek to share and care for the resources of the Great Lakes region. It is also covered by the Between the Lakes Purchase, 1792, signed between the British Crown and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.
Today, Hamilton is home to many Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island (North America). We recognize our responsibility to learn more about the rich histories and ongoing contributions of Indigenous communities, so we can better honour our roles as residents, neighbours, partners, and caretakers of this land.
