The Street is Yours to Roam
Open Streets returns this Sunday, June 7 from 10 am to 4 pm, transforming one of our major roads into shared spaces for recreation, play, and community connection.
Walk or cycle the route from John St to Gage Ave to discover the Bernie Morelli Recreation Centre Family Fun Hub, filled with games and interactive booths. Grab a bite at The Kitchen Collective Food Court, browse pop-up stalls from local businesses, and catch live music and wrestling shows along the way. Don't miss the Village Pride celebration at Ferguson Station for drag performances and a vibrant makers market.
And do it all with a free 3-hour ride on Hamilton Bike Share courtesy of Cogeco by using the Social Bicycles app anytime between 9 am and 9 pm.
Plan your day and route at the Open Streets Hamilton website.

While we are a digital company, we work and live in the city of Hamilton, acknowledging that it stands on the traditional territories of the Erie, Neutral, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee, and Mississaugas peoples. This land is part of the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant — an agreement between the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabek to share and care for the resources of the Great Lakes region. It is also covered by the Between the Lakes Purchase, 1792, signed between the British Crown and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.
Today, Hamilton is home to many Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island (North America). We recognize our responsibility to learn more about the rich histories and ongoing contributions of Indigenous communities, so we can better honour our roles as residents, neighbours, partners, and caretakers of this land
