Raging Gracefully is a fast paced, action packed, funny show. The hour flew by.
The show itself is a string of vignettes. I counted 14.
Each showcases a different slice of life's situations and realities. You recognize them almost immediately because you've experienced them. Yet what makes them special is the group's playful and original comedic treatment and how they move on the stage as a collective.
Playful, ridiculous, silly while strong and well-orchestrated. It's a full experience with acting, singing, dancing and music. They don't take themselves too seriously but they own the stage.
I don't know exactly what happened in there, but I laughed a lot and I had a great time.

First thing’s first….
All the ladies in the house say YEAH!?
(Women: "YEAH!")
Perfect. Now I can begin.
As a women’s studies major – who, by the way, is no “lady,” yet loves to say things like, I’m wearing my “lady slacks” – I like to track where the modern feminist movement is living. Tonight, I found out. It’s living in the downright hysterical (pun absolutely intended!) sketch comedy ensemble known as Big Chick Energy.
As a troupe, these four millennial women are unapologetic, uninhibited, and total delightful goofballs. Their undeniable chemistry and deep trust allow them to lean into the absurdity as they deliver ridiculous set-ups, silly songs, and amusing subversions. Also, I’ve never loved fake moustaches more.
And yes, that's a photo of me busting out a fake moustache while writing this review.
The show thrives on this exact brand of playful energy. Take their sketch featuring a married couple in counselling forced to communicate solely through freestyle rap therapy. There’s layered commentary throughout the show, and you might not catch every nuance behind the fun, but honestly, it doesn’t matter. You still feel the wonderful, liberating energy on a visceral level while laughing out loud from start to finish.
Bring your friends, bring your lady slacks, and go see this show.
